How many Gosick chapters are there?
>How many Gosick chapters are there?
We don't know yet for the manga. It used to be 3 chapters per book and then it jumped to 5. Someone needs to have bought the physical copies of the Japanese book.
>There are eight volumes right?
Of the manga, yes.
>Does anyone know what chapter the end of the eighth volume equals?
Equals the anime...?
Then there is no equivalent since the anime is NOT based on the manga. Both the anime and manga are separate adaptions of the light novel.
Is manga ever released in single chapters, or is it always released in volumes?
Is manga ever released in single chapters, or is it always released in volumes? Both, actually. Manga chapters are released in magazines, often on a set schedule. Some series like One Piece have their chapters released weekly, typically with ~20 pages. Other series like Attack on Titan are released monthly, with ~50 pages each chapter. And then there are series like Berserk, where chapters are released very irregularly, because it frequently goes on hiatus. Note that this last example is a rare case and there are often good reasons for why there are so many breaks.Eventually, chapters are collected into volumes, and depending on the number of pages in each chapter, a volume may contain anywhere from 3 to 12 chapters.Hope this answered your question :)
How many pages in a book make a chapter?
Thanks for the A2A.There is no set limit for pages in a chapter, high or low. There is no set limit for words in a chapter, high or low.I have read chapters that I thought would never end, and I have to be honest, it made me want to not read the rest of the book.I have seen chapters that were one blank page, with only the chapter name at the top. That can be used to a pretty cool dramatic effect, if done properly. Or it can come off as absolute crap. So I would be very careful with trying it.I once had a writer friend,Guy Anthony De Marco - Wikipedia, point out to me that each chapter should be like a short story, with a beginning, a middle, and an end. Sometimes that end really is an end, sometimes it is a hook for the next chapter, but it is an end. With that in mind, I realized that a chapter, like a story, needs to be as long as it needs to be, and no longer. So now I write some chapters that are long, and some that are short, depending upon what the point of that chapter was and when I reach my goal of telling it.Do what works for you, but be mindful of how people react to it. Remember, if you are the only one who “gets it”, the failing is in your ability to communicate the idea, not in everyone else’s ability to comprehend words on a page.I hope that helps!
Why do you like to read manga?
I personally was hesitant initially as I had started with anime and I thought I will be bored reading manga. But my mindset changed completely when I started reading them.Manga has a very big world inside it. Not all mangas are made into animes. Infact a big portion of manga isn’t made into anime. There are some genres like horror, psychological thriller, mind games, mystery etc whose animes are rarely made and animes are mostly made on action mangas and comedy and romantic mangas and mangas of fantasy genre.I read a manga last year titled “ Liar Game .“ Believe me I hadn’t read anything so gripping and intriguing ever. Now no anime has been made on it but a South Korean T.V. Series is based on it.Mangas have color pages in them. And the Web toons and Manhwas ( South Korean) are fully colored. For eg: Relife is fully colored and its very good in all aspects and entertaining. There will be groups of people which will prefer anime over manga and then there will be groups of people which will follow manga over anime. Both has advantages as well as disadvantages. This debate can go on forever. But a person like me who has done both, I would like the anime lovers to read some manga as well and then decide for themselves. They will surely not be disappointed.

Anime fans: Do you read manga online or read the actual volumes?
I read the physical volumes. I have a collection of roughly 800 volumes that I personally own, plus most of my friends have at least 100 volumes themselves, so we're always borrowing and trading. When I read online, it's generally because the series isn't licensed yet. For example, I used to read Kuroshitsuji online back before Yen Press snagged it. Now, I've started buying it. I only have three of the English volumes, but I'm working on catching up. I also read a one shot by Junji Ito online. However, I own all of his work that has been translated to English and would buy that volume in a heartbeat should it be released in America. Doin' my part to keep the manga industry afloat both in the states and in Japan. ^^
Bq: My favorite manga has to be Yami no Matsuei. I know it's not the best manga out there, but it has a special place in my heart.
Bq2: I haven't read any illegal scans in...well...months. Can't remember what I used to use. Now, I only use emanga.com to read manga online. It's cheap and legal. ^^
